Urban Decay Naked Palette Review

Monday, 14 March 2011
Hiya,

I know this palette has been reviewed to death but I wanted to give my take on it.

I bought this palette last September and have been using it regularly ever since. It is probably my most used palette of all time.

The whole set includes the 12 shades, a double ended 24/7 glide on pencil and a mini Urban Decay Primer Potion.

Almost all the colours are browns/neutrals but there are a few which are darker or slightly different.
The main thing I love about this palette is that it is so versatile. For every day use I can just use some of the lighter shades but when I want a more dramatic look, I can smoke them up with the darker shades.

My favourite  shades are Sin, Half Baked, Smog, Dark Horse and Gunmetal. They are all well pigmented and they're really smooth and silky. Two of the shadow's are matte (Naked and Buck). The rest have shimmer or glitter. I found that they are all easy to blend. Urban Decay is definitely my favourite brand for eye shadow's.
I already had the 24/7 Glide On pencil in Zero and have always loved it. Whiskey was a new shade and I found myself using it a lot. It is great when you don't want bold eye liner. The staying power is also pretty good. I don't think this shade is in the regular line though.

All in all, I'm really pleased with this palette. I use it almost every day and it never lets me down. It also makes life so easy having one palette with all the shades you want for an eye look.

I will be doing another 'favourites' post soon. I've also got my giveaway coming up as soon as I hit 50 followers so keep a look out for that!

  1. I really would love to get this palette but I have so many neutral palettes that I am still unsure whether to get it. To top it the price doesn't help me decide either! Thanks for the review, I love seeing swatches of the shades, they are really gorgeous <3

  3. I think it's definitely worth the price. As far as I can remember it retails at £27, which is quite steep but you just get so many eye shadows.

Madiha, I'm not sure about the U.S but in the UK it is going to be available again in Debenhams online by the end of march. They do ship to the U.S so you might be able to get a hold of it x

  4. Hi! I'm a new follower! I love e.l.f. too :) Check out my blog if you want, it's new but very promising lol! Aww, the naked palette looks so great but since I'm not really into beige/brown eyeshadows I haven't buy it yet.
