My Cream Blushes

Saturday, 23 April 2011

I've been away for a week visiting family so didn't really get the opportunity to put up as many posts as I normally do. It's definitely great to be back because I really was starting to miss it a lot!

I thought I would show you my cream blushes because although I have always been curious about them, I always found them to be quite difficult to apply. Obviously though, I now realise that it depends on the quality of the product.

I first purchased 'Tea Rose' by NYX when I wanted to try cream blushes out last year. After falling in love with it I had to try out other ones! I then went on to purchase three shades from Sally Hansen and just recently Urban Decay's 'Fetish' cheek tint.
My favourite shades are 'Ginger' by Sally Hansen and NYX 'Tea Rose'. For my skin tone, I feel like they work perfectly. When it comes to application though, I really do enjoy Urban Decay's Glide-on Cheek Tint. It is very smooth and I feel like it applies evenly. NYX is a close second because it is very creamy.

I was a little disappointed with Sally Hansen's blushes though because when I don't use them for a few weeks, they tend to get dry which can be a little annoying. They were the cheaper of the three brands though so I'm not too bothered by this.

I do enjoy using these blushes but mainly only when I have more time to put make up on. When blending these it can be time consuming- more so than with powder blushes anyway!

Do you use cream blushes? What do you think of them? Any brand that you particularly like?

  5. I'm fairly new to cream blushes, but I do really like them! One of my favorites is from Darling Girl. They have a line called Sweet Cheeks which are cream blushes. Application technique is key when it comes cream blushes. I have a small duofiber brush which is perfect for applying cream blush!

  6. Tea Rose is definitely one of my favourites, thanks for your comments ladies x x
