My Everyday Skincare Products

Friday, 29 April 2011

When it comes to skincare, once I find something that works for me, I tend to stick to it. I don't experiment too much because my skin can be quite sensitive. I have combination/oily skin and although I don't break out from products very much, I have to make sure I keep it really clean and hydrated or my skin becomes quite dull looking.

I mainly use four skincare products on a daily basis, morning and night.
As you can probably tell, I really love the Vitamin E line from The Body Shop. Pretty much all of their products have worked really well for me. They all have a fresh, floral scent which is quite faint and I don't think it would be off-putting for anyone.

For my face, as a day cream I use Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. I have been using it for around eight months. This is the perfect moisturizer for me because not only does it hydrate my skin, it leaves it feeling really soft but without the oiliness. It also gets my face ready for make up application in the morning. You can view my full review on it here.

The Body Shop'sVitamin E Night cream I find to be exactly what my skin needs to recover itself during the night. It is obviously thicker than my moisturising gel but it gears up my skin for the harshness of the day.

I don't have bad under eye circles or any kind of discolouration around my eyes but I feel it is good to start using eye products now, to (maybe) delay any problems that may occur in the future. The Vitamin E Eye Cream definitely is hydrating and it feels good around my eyes. What little dryness I get, this cream takes care of it.

Lastly, I use the Vitamin E Hand and Nail Treatment to keep my hands feeling soft and supple. I really feel, and see the difference when I use this cream! It makes the skin around my nails really smooth. If I go a day or two without using it I can always feel my hands getting dry.

As of now, these are the skincare products I am using and for the foreseeable future, I plan on continuing using them. Sometimes your skin does stop reacting well to certain products and, when that does happen, I am likely to change what products I use but right now I am pretty satisfied!

What are your favourite skincare products?

  2. The Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel is a miracle product! If it had some spf in it and costed less I'd never change it! I use TBS Vitamin E Day cream and eye cream.
