Review: Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipsticks

Friday, 28 October 2011

I have recently been trying out the Rimmel Lasting Finish lipsticks. They are very affordable so I thought they would be a good line to try out.

I have four of them. After trying them out I have decided I much prefer high street brands when it comes to lipsticks. It is not that the higher end ones are bad in quality, but they are just so expensive and pretty much do the same thing.
I first bought 'Airy Fairy' which I absolutely fell in love with and have been wearing it almost every day. The others I found all suit my skin tone very well and they all look so natural but with a gorgeous hint of colour.

These are the kind of lipsticks you can wear without looking in the mirror because they are so easy to apply. They are smooth and creamy and they do last a good few hours.

The price definitely doesn't break the bank as they retail at around £4.99 and very often there are offers on too.

You can purchase them at Superdrug or Boots. Online you can purchase them a lot cheaper (I think at around £2.99) at FragranceDirect.

What is your favourite brand of lipstick?

  1. I love these kinda posts :)

I find these lipsticks really good consistency and colour range wise and they don't break the bank as you said :) They're probably my favourite brand lipstick wise.

Airy Fairy is on my wishlist and I like the look of Crush too. :)

  2. these are really nice lippies, i have birthday suit and asia :) love 'em! nice post!!

  3. I agree Pyari Beauty, check Ebay for Airy Fairy- I bought mine for £2.80!

Rakshan, I really want to try Asia x

  4. I agree i got a few from the Kate Moss range and they are very good in quality, mac is my all time fav but again im paying more than double for the same texture really.

And i love Nars Lipglosses but recently the ELF luscious Liquid Lipstick for £1.50 compared to 17.50 is saving my bank =)

  5. I've got my eye on Airy Fairy on Ebay just waiting to move house so I can order it haha. :)

You can get Asia for £1.99 from Xtras Online. :)

  6. Sam, I have quite a few MAC lipsticks but although I like them, I tend to be going more to my high street brands these days.. I should stop neglecting them though lol.

Pyari Beauty, you haven't got long before you move! I bet you'll be really glad to get all settled in finally. Oh and thanks for the heads up, I swatched Asia today and liked it but didn't buy.. £1.99 is a bargain! x
