Review: Urban Decay 15 Anniversary Palette

Monday, 24 October 2011
Hiya,

I have been wanting this palette for such a long time but kept putting off getting it. I did manage to get a hold of it last week and it is probably one of the products I have been most excited about.

I love the little detailing on the side of the little box. It is very well made and sturdy.

You can also take the palette out and use the box for jewellery or other keepsakes.
I was a tiny bit sceptical about getting this because I thought the shades might not be as unique as I hoped. I was very wrong because there are quite a few shades that I don't have already and so they will be a useful addition to my collection.

All the shades are very pigmented. They are soft and easy to apply. The only one that I was maybe not too impressed with was 'Midnight Rodeo'. Although it is very pigmented and the shade is gorgeous, it has some glitter which gives a little fallout. It is nothing major though and I will still use it.

I feel like I will get a lot of use out of this palette. I though the Naked palette was good but this has both neutral shades and some really pretty unique colours too. I especially love 'Evidence', 'Blackout', 'Vanilla' and 'Junkshow'.

Overall, I am very impressed with this palette. It is quite pricey, but it is also limited edition with every eye shadow being unique to the palette. I feel like it is worth buying as the quality of the eye shadows, the packaging and the shades are all gorgeous!

Retail Price: £39

What do you think of the palette?

  11. It's not the palette for me. I have to admit that I dislike shimmery shades and I can't ever see myself wearing most of the shades. I'll be curious to see what you come up with.
