Winter Must Haves: Nail Polish

Monday, 14 November 2011

I thought I would start up a series of posts in which I will be sharing my must haves for the winter.  This will be skincare and make up since I am an avid user of both types of products.

I'll start of with the nail products that I know I will be wearing a lot of this winter.

Left to right: Sally Hansen Commander in Chic, OPI Yodel Me On My Cell, OPI Extravagance, Revlon Facets of Fuchsia

Commander in Chic by Sally Hansen has been a favourite of mine for the last few months. I love the brush which makes application easy and it lasts a long time on my nails.

Yodel Me On My Cell by OPI is a gorgeous blue/green shade with shimmer. It is a lovely darker shade to wear in the colder months.
From recent post- Lower nail shows exact look
I love shades like these because I feel like they flatter my skin tone pretty well.

I have another OPI nail polish which I know I will be wearing more often now.
O.P.I Extravagance
This came in a past Glossybox and I was really happy with it. It is a very pretty sparkly, purple shade.

Lastly I am very excited about the new Revlon shade in Facets of Fuchsia. I am currently doing a huge giveaway and you can win one of these, which you can enter here.
It is a sheer black (which you can create a more opaque colour from when you apply a few coats) with small and large chunks of purple glitter. I feel like this is a perfect autumn/winter shade.

What nail polishes are you looking forward to wearing this winter?

  4. nice post, yea wana see the revlon swatch...

  5. I would love to have purple revlon but unfortunately I don't, so my favorite are: Essence-hex,hex (a dark gunmetal silver which is actually magnetic!!!) the second is also from German brand Essence-time for romance (it is similar to Deborah Lippman Bad romance accept for the base color which is lighter pink and not so dark plum) and the third would be Avon-Cherry jubilee (dark jelly red shade)

  6. very pretty winter colors...
