2011 Favourites: Eye Products

Friday, 23 December 2011
Hiya,

I have had a lot of fun this year with discovering new eye products and I have especially experimented with eye shadow and primer's quite a lot.

For eyeshadow, the 15th Anniversary palette by Urban Decay has been a definite favourite. I have used this palette so much and have not tired of it. It has some really pretty neutral shades and also some of the loveliest vibrant colours which are so smooth and creamy. I feel like if I had just this one palette to use for the rest of my life, I would be happy. The only downside is that it is a limited edition palette but it is still available at Debenhams.

Urban Decay features yet again in my favourites for the eyes, but then they most definitely do score considerably higher than other brands, in their eye products quality. I love these 24/7 Eyeshadow Pencils. I use them on their own or as a base. They work perfectly for both purposes. Especially in the summer time, I used to just quickly apply, blend and go. They last so long without creasing it was a bit of a shock in all honesty. I didn't expect that so was glad to know I hadn't wasted my money!

The Limecrime Eyeshadow base I was actually sent early this year. After using this though, I haven't really used other bases that much. This base makes shadow stick on and look vibrant. It prevents creasing better than any other base. Without a doubt I will purchase this once I run out.

I discovered my favourite mascara ever, Max Factor's False Lash Effect, which I have been using all year. At the moment I have been using the brown one which I bought by accident but I actually really like it for every day use. It volumises, lengthens and separates my lashes really well without clumping. I have tried so many mascara's but this one is a definite favourite of mine.

Liquid liner's were not a product I would normally go for on an every day basis. I still don't use it every day but when I do want to use it, I love using the Superliner by L'oreal. It is very black, smooth, flake free and lasts a long time. It isn't stupidly expensive either which, for me, makes it the perfect liquid liner.

Lastly, Soap&Glory have very recently come out with a make up line. I picked up the black pencil liner when I saw it because it seemed very creamy and dark. Although this is not a product I have been using all year, I have used it a lot since I bought it a few months back. It is what I use for my lower lash line and I find that it stays on so well and just glides on. I would say it definitely is better than a lot of higher end liners I have tried.

I think it has been a good year for eye products. I have discovered some fabulous ones which I know I will continue to use for years to come!

What are your favourite eye products this year?
