First Impressions: Glossybox Special Edition (December)

Monday, 19 December 2011

I received my Glossybox this morning due to having missed the delivery earlier last week. Since I am always out and about and so busy with my personal life, I find it very difficult to fit everything in the way I want it to.

The Glossybox this time around is a bright red. It is a limited edition box as it is Christmas time and so the colours used are very relevant to the festive season.

At first glance, I was very impressed with the contents. Of course this months' box would have been better than previous ones but all the same, I wasn't expecting so many good products.

1. Blink+Go Hi-Definition Mascara

I am actually quite fussy with my mascara's but I do look forward to seeing how well this one works for me. The brush is quite small, I thought it would be pretty large considering the size of the tube. It feels and looks quite expensive (which it is!) so I do have high hopes for it.

Retail Price: £14.99

2. Cargo Cosmetics Classic Lip Gloss in Morocco

I have a lip gloss by Cargo already which I really like as it isn't sticky at all and feels nice on the lips. Cargo products are usually pretty expensive so this will be a nice addition to my collection. The only thing is that I don't wear lip glosses very often so am not sure how much I will use it.

Retail Price: £10.00

3. Deborah Lipmann Mini Nail Varnish in Razzle Dazzle and Stripped to Go Sachet

Deborah Lipmann nail polishes are constantly being raved about and are very popular amongst Youtubers and bloggers. I personally rarely wear nail polish and would not have bought a nail polish so expensive normally. This is such a pretty colour though and it will be perfect to brighten up a dull winter day.

The finger mitt to remove nail polish will be handy for my make up bag on the go.

Retail Price: £14-£16

4. MEMEME Seventh Heaven Moisturising Facebase

This moisturiser smells divine! It has a lovely citrus-y fresh scent. I haven't tried MeMeMe products before so this will be nice. A £5 off voucher was also included in this so the full size can be purchased for £10.

Retail Price: £15

5. Rituals Foaming Shower Gel
I have never heard of this brand but the smell of this shower gel is amazing! The scent is Indian Rose and Sweet Almond oil, which even sounds lovely. I am looking forward to my shower tomorrow when I can try this out to see how well it works.

Retail Price: £6.50

Overall, this box is one of my favourites since they first started them. Literally every product is one that I would use and maybe would not have thought to buy otherwise.

I am looking forward to seeing what comes in the new years' box.

Did you like your box this month?
