First Impressions: Sigma Premium Brush Kit

Friday, 9 December 2011

The once a year free delivery offer was up on Sigma's website a few weeks ago for Black Friday. Since I had been waiting for an opportunity like this, I got a hold of the Premium Brush Kit that I had my eye on for what seemed like a long time!

Although I am affiliated with Sigma, I have bought many of their brushes in the past myself and have absolutely loved them. They are high in quality and haven't let me down. I especially love the Sigmax line. They are definitely their most unique brushes.

I apologise in advance for the quality of photo's, it was night when I took them and they just didn't come out as clear as I would have liked them to.

I like the way the Sigma brushes are always packaged. It all looks very pretty. The brush roll for this brush set is a really soft faux leather which has a magnetic button to open and close it.

There are good descriptions on the leaflet that is included, which explains how to use each brush.

The face brushes are all incredibly soft and well made. I am expecting them to shed a little as a few of my other black bristled brushes by Sigma have shed a few times but it is not a major issue as I only seem to see a couple of hairs shedding.

The only brush from the eye brushes that I might not use very often is the flat definer one as I like to use angled brushes for cream liner and am not sure what I would use this for yet.
I have been on the lookout for a good lip brush which comes with a lid and am glad to have one now. It makes application of OCC lip tars and the Sleek Pout Paints very easy, along with any other lipsticks etc.

Lastly, I was also sent a free blending eye brush which is the E25.
I love this brush. I have the MAC version, which is the 217 and a few of the Sigma ones already and it is one of my most used brushes. If you are on the look out for a good eye brush I would definitely recommend this one.

So far, I am very impressed, but then I knew I would be anyway. I would much rather invest in these brushes than the MAC ones because they are cheaper and last a very long time if they are cared for in the right way.

What Sigma brushes do you have?

  1. This looks amazing. There are a few brushes in there which I own already and rarely ever use (like the flat concealer and flat definer) which would put me off purchasing this myself, but it still looks like a fantastic set.

  2. so jealous my order didn't go through because the bleeding website kept jamming because everyone was on it!

  6. I love Sigma and this kit looks amazing! I have the F80 and the blush brush (can't remember the number but it is pictured in your kit). I also have the E25 and use it all the time. Could do with a few more to be honest. xx

  7. Wowza! Looks fab! You were lucky that the site was working on Black Friday

  8. I also took advantage of the free shipping. The site was slow as all heck but I got three of the Sigmax Kabukis which I can't wait to review. You really went all out! Jealous!

  9. I did a post a couple of weeks ago on my favourite brushes, and Sigma were heavily mentioned in it! Love them!
You could perhaps use the flat definer for eyebrow filling? Or maybe for concealing the outside of your lips precisely when tidying up a red lip? Those are the uses I can think of that I would probably use it for xx

  10. wow these look wonderful i will get them one day they look soo nice and have seen great reviews..
