2012 Favourites- Blush

Sunday, 30 December 2012
Hiya,

I love using blush to make my skin appear more fresh and alive! This usually means that I try out a lot of different colours, types and finishes and if there is something new out, I will more than likely get it to try it.

Of all the blushes that I have used, there has been one constant blush for me which I have used most days. When I don't have time, I will wear this one. When I can't decide which one will look good with the eye look I have done that day, I will reach for this.

NARS is a fantastic brand for blush anyway but one that has stuck out to me, has definitely been 'Deepthroat'.

2012 Favourites- Perfume's

Thursday, 27 December 2012
Hiya,

I have pretty much stuck to the same perfume's that I have in my collection this year. I am still a fan of girly perfume's but in the last month or so I have been wanting to try some more mature fragrances, so I probably will be trying some out in the near future!

I have mainly been loving two perfume's this year. I don't have a massive collection because I like to finish them before getting another one.

First Impressions: Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette

Monday, 24 December 2012
Hiya,

The new palette by Urban Decay from their 'Naked' line, the Naked Basics palette has just been released!

Already owning the Naked 1 and 2 palette's, I at first, was unsure how they would manage to bring another one out that would match or top them. But seeing that they are matte's, I soon realised, this would suit women of all ages!

Most older women tend to like matte's as shimmer shadows tend to age them a little.

Glossybox: December 2012

Saturday, 22 December 2012
Hiya,

The December Glossybox is here! The colour of the box is different, which is a nice change and will look pretty in my bedroom with it being silver.

Haul: Dior, MAC, Clinique

Wednesday, 19 December 2012
Hiya,

I have finally got around to getting some of the products I have been wanting to try out for a long time!

Dior, is a brand I don't normally go for on a regular basis as of course, their prices are extortionate! But this had to be an exception.

First Impressions: Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

Friday, 7 December 2012
Hiya,

It has been a long time coming, I find it strange now that I held out for so long! In this case, I do wish I had just gone ahead and got it- the Naked 2 palette!

Urban Decay Naked Palette VS MUA Undressed Palette

Sunday, 26 August 2012
Hiya,

You have probably already heard that the MUA Undressed palette has been said to be very similar to the Urban Decay Naked palette. I decided to try them both out to see whether this was true or not!

First Impressions: Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Perfume

Friday, 24 August 2012
Hiya,

Are you someone who loves beautiful packaging? This is most definitely a post to continue reading!

Taylor Swifts' new (well not that new) perfume is something that attracted so many perfume lovers. I am not sure the actual scent had too much to do with it though!

Review: MUA Undressed Palette

Thursday, 23 August 2012
Hiya,

I got the Undressed palette by MUA about a month ago. I was quite curious about it because it had been said that it was similar to Urban Decay's Naked Palette.

Ramadhan and Eid Mubarak!

Tuesday, 14 August 2012
Hiya,

I know I have only recently started blogging regularly again but I am now visiting my mum, which is giving me seriously limited internet access!

Ramadhan and Eid Mubarak to all those who celebrate it and I will be back to normal blogging next week!

Hiya,

The BeneFit POREfessional is a product I have had my eye on for a good few months now.

Avon Naturals Room and Linen Spray

Saturday, 11 August 2012
Hiya,

I know a room and linen spray has nothing to do with beauty, but it is definitely a kind of product that I use regularly to keep the house smelling nice.

My friend recently made an order with Avon and I thought I would pick this up too because it was on offer.

Review: ELF Studio Cream Blush in Seductress

Friday, 10 August 2012
Hiya,

I have used ELF products since I first started wearing make up on a regular basis. It was one of the first brands that I got really into mainly because I thought the price was incredibly cheap!

I have been an avid user of some of their products and really rate them because a lot of the times you get quality products at really reasonable prices.

First Impressions: Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Soleil Perfume

Thursday, 9 August 2012
Hiya,

I received a gift from a good friend of mine quite a long time ago which was a pleasant surprise for two reasons. One, there was absolutely no reason for her to be giving me a gift in the first place (not my birthday etc), and two, I had never actually heard of this pefume!

I knew that there are perfume's by Estee Lauder but I hadn't heard of this one. Even if I had, I probably wouldn't have bought it anyway as I usually go for the more girly fragrances.

Review: bare Minerals Touch Up Veil

Wednesday, 8 August 2012
Hiya,

I am sure everyone is aware of the mineral veil that has been available by bare Minerals for quite some time. I never even thought about purchasing it because I am not a big fan of messy, powdery products.

I first heard of the Touch Up Veil on a video I watched by Fleur De Force, which I am sure most of you will already know of!

It was the perfect time for me to try this out as I was looking for a lightweight setting powder anyway.

Review: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains

Tuesday, 7 August 2012
Hiya,

I have been meaning to do a post on the Revlon Balm Stains for quite some time now.

I feel like Revlon is definitely one of the leading brands from the high street. They have been coming out with some really good products in the last year or so. It has been making me think twice about buying from the higher end brands!

My July Favourites

Monday, 6 August 2012
Hiya,

I know I am a little late with my July favourites, but I've finally managed to get some time and do it. I've really been enjoying more summary products and have been trying to keep my make up quite light.

First Impressions: MAC Heavenly Creatures

Saturday, 7 July 2012
Hiya,

I picked up a couple of products from the new 'Heavenly Creatures' collection. I always get excited about the mineralized collections because they just look so pretty and fun!

Lancome and MAC Haul

Wednesday, 6 June 2012
Hiya,

I'm back with another haul! I did want to split my haul posts up as it just would have been too much otherwise.

I have been trying out some Lancome products recently and been pretty impressed with them.

Collective Haul- Clarisonic Mia, Natural Collection, Sleek, E.L.F

Monday, 21 May 2012
Hiya,

It has been a long time! I always thought to myself that if I am going to blog, it will be because my heart and mind is in it and I want to do it. The moment that I felt I wanted a break, I would take it. The last month or so I have not been too well and I have also been busy with other things. I felt like I had to put other things first and I am glad I did.

Moving on, I have managed to acquire quite a few products in the time that I was away! A few of which I am especially excited about!

Review: Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner

Friday, 13 April 2012
Hiya,

I picked up the gel liner by Maybelline, which is very popular with a lot of bloggers, to see how it compares with MAC's fluidlines. I find myself comparing MAC to a lot of brands these days, I guess it is because I have found much better alternatives recently and those alternatives have also been a lot easier to afford!

My March Favourites

Wednesday, 4 April 2012
Hiya,

In the month of March, I have tried really hard to use products that I had been neglecting. It was nice to just look into the make up I already have and to rediscover products that I loved in the past.

1. The Body Shop Vanilla Body Mist

This is a great body mist to use on the go as it, very obviously smells like vanilla and is not so expensive that you would worry about losing it if you are out. I find that very often, body sprays like these do not last that long and you need to respray quite often. In this case though, I found that it does actually last a pretty long time. It is well worth giving it a try!

2. MAC Tendertone in Deep Sigh

Even though this does look pretty brownish, it is very sheer and actually looks really pretty. I only picked this up from my collection again because of the new collection that recently came out with tendertones. It smells lovely too, which, from what I know is a strawberry and kiwi scent.

3. NYX blush in Desert Rose

This is a really pretty, dusky pink. It flatters my NW30 skin tone really well and makes my face look fresh and healthy, which is a look I definitely prefer on a day to day basis. The NYX blushes blend so well and are very pigmented. For the price, they are definitely worth trying out.

4. ELF Mineral lipstick in Barely Bitten

The mineral lipsticks by ELF are very affordable at just £3.50 and the colour pay off on them is great. They don't dry out my lips and last a decent amount of time. I have mainly just been loving this shade. It isn't a bright red, it is much more toned down and looks very pretty and kind of rosy on the lips. With a simple eye look, this is gorgeous.

5. Soap&Glory Smoulder Kohl

I used MAC's Smolder eye kohl for a long time and decided to try something different. When I saw that Soap&Glory came out with their own makeup line, I had to try this out. This liner is so pigmented and as it is waterproof, lasts on my water and lash line for a long time! It does not smudge or flake and it is only £5 which is half the price of a lot of pencil liners.

6. MAC 239 Shader brush

The size of this brush is perfect to pack on eyeshadow on to my eyelid. It fits perfectly and applies product evenly. I have tried quite a few brushes of this type but I find that this works for me the best annd I have been using it a lot in the month of march.

7. Z Palette and the eye shadows in it

I have a mixture of MAC, Urban Decay, Stila, Yaby, Stars Makeup Haven and Ruby&Millie eyeshadows in this Z Palette. I have been using this a lot for the last month because it has pretty much every neutral eyeshadow that I like to use on a a daily basis. I love the idea of the Z palette and having all of the eyeshadows I want in the same place is a perfect way to avoid neglecting makeup.

Overall for last month, I definitely have been going back to my old favourites and using up what I already have. I feel like I have been wasting a lot less this way and still discovering how much I love certain products which I may not have really looked at previously.

What was your favourite product last month?

3 Reasons Why I Love Blogging

Tuesday, 3 April 2012
Hiya,

I have been very sparse with my blog posts recently, which is about to change but I was just reflecting on why I seem to come back to it even when sometimes I feel like I should stop.

1. Communication

I absolutely love speaking about the things I like. Make up is one of those things and since my hubby, understandably has zero interest in make up, blogging is the perfect way to express myself. I love speaking to others who also love make up like I do. I love knowing that whenever I want to know about the latest product release (Revlon lip butters!), the worst eyeliner ever or just when I want to get some advice, I can just come here and on twitter where there are so many lovely ladies who are happy to advise.

2. A great hobby

Especially for a mum of two, who doesn't very often get to have adult conversation during the day, it is the perfect outlet. I can speak about the things I love and I know that I will always learn from everyone in the blogging world too.

3. Uninfluenced expression

I'm not even sure if that makes sense.. I feel great being able to while away my spare time doing something that I enjoy. I feel even greater being able to write about things that are fun without being dictated on how to do it.

If I had not started this blog when I did, I don't know what I would have done. I have discovered a world, cheesy as it sounds, that is pretty amazing. The people I have got to know are so lovely. Who knew that there were so many amazing beauty bloggers out there?

I have had it on my mind to post this for some time, I thought that maybe I really was being too cheesy, but then who cares? This is my blog and I love it!

Blog Sale! MAC, Urban Decay, Illamasqua, BeneFit, Deborah Lipmann and more!

Saturday, 31 March 2012
Hiya,

For the last few months, I have realised how I have been leaving some make up products completely unused. Rather than have them just sitting here, I feel like it is probably better if I sell them so that I can make some space in my collection. I will definitely be adding more products in the next couple of days.

The rules,

1. Paypal (gift) only as the method of payment.

2. Comment below with your email address.

3. Payment to be made within 24 hours once you have received an email from me.

4. Postage is £1.50 for UK.

5. I will post the day after payment has been made (As long as it isn't the weekend!).

6. No returns please.

7. UK only this time, sorry. Only reason is because postage is usually too high and it isn't worth it for you (but if you're willing to pay the postage I might make an exception).
