First Impressions: Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette

Monday, 24 December 2012

The new palette by Urban Decay from their 'Naked' line, the Naked Basics palette has just been released!

Already owning the Naked 1 and 2 palette's, I at first, was unsure how they would manage to bring another one out that would match or top them. But seeing that they are matte's, I soon realised, this would suit women of all ages!

Most older women tend to like matte's as shimmer shadows tend to age them a little.

The palette is smaller than the first two Naked palette's, but that would be expected with this palette having just six shades.

There are an even amount of light, medium and dark shades which means you can do an every day look with them and smoke it up for evenings!
Left to Right: Venus, Foxy, W.O.S

Left to Right: Naked 2, Faint, Crave
The shades are all pigmented and smooth. I have never experienced using an Urban Decay eyeshadow and not liking it. Come to think of it, that would be, minus Midnight Cowboy; now that was just crazy fallout all over the place!

To summarise, I do like this palette, although it didn't wow me as much as the first two. I will get use out of it though because I do love my matte shades. It retails at £20.

What do you think of it?
