I like doing comparison posts because I think you really get a feel of how similar two products are. I have two foundations which I really love pretty much equally. They are both similar in a lot of ways but there is a huge price difference between the two.
The first is the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation. This is a medium coverage foundation which gives a beautiful finish. It definitely does give you a glow as it states in the name.
This applies very well and blends very nicely too. It does not leave streaks and I really like the finish it gives.
Second, the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation!
This again, blends very well and is also buildable. It is also a medium coverage foundation.
What I notice that is different about this foundation is that it is more runny than the NARS Sheer Glow. This does mean that you get a little longer to blend in the foundation on your face. It is also a little more dewy than the NARS foundation.
Here are the two swatches together,
|NARS Sheer Glow|
|Bourjois Healthy Mix|
There is a huge price difference in both these foundations.
NARS Sheer Glow is priced at £29.50 whereas the Bourjois Healthy Mix is a mere £9.99 in comparison. The NARS foundation is almost three times more expensive!
Having said that, I don't know why but I seem to go more towards the NARS foundation on a regular basis. Maybe it is the fact that it is not as runny as the Healthy Mix?
I would probably repurchase both foundations if I ran out, I really cannot pick between the two completely but I would say that you should definitely try the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation if you cannot afford NARS Sheer Glow.
