Review: L'oreal Glamshine Stain Splash

Tuesday, 23 April 2013
Hiya,

L'oreal, very recently came out with a product which definitely rivalled a product which is far more expensive and more difficult for most people to afford. That product is the YSL Glossy Stain. Priced at £23.50, it does not make sense to buy a few different shades. I initially purchased one, really liked it but hesitated in getting more. When the stain splashes by L'oreal were released, priced at a much more affordable £7.99, I felt like I had to try them!

The packaging is expensive feeling which is most certainly a great start when comparing it to the YSL Glossy stains. They look like they are very good quality and are a nice shape.

I decided to get one shade which would be for every day use and one that was slightly brighter and more fun.

The wand is pretty much exactly the same as the YSL glossy stains. They do give a luxurious feeling to the lips as you apply it. The product itself is smooth and very easy to apply.

As you can see, although there is good pigmentation, they do have a sheerness to them but the more you apply, the more opaque they look. They apply wet but the do seem to dry a little on the lips. They are definitely not drying on the lips though and stay on for hours!

Pro's
- Long lasting
- Pretty colours
- Versatile
- Easy application
- Affordable

Con's
- Could do with more shades

The only downside I would say is that I would love it if they came out with some more shades. Having said that, I do love the ones I have and am enjoying using them. These last around 4-5 hours on my lips but I don't mind whipping these out to reapply at all!

What do you think of them?
